2010 V6 TSX Canadian Pricing...
I heard a top executive in conversation mention that the starting price will be $39,400 - which puts it $590 less than the base model TL. If this is the case, that would mean a $1900 bump over the price of 2009 TSX Premium.
I'm hearing rumours that we won't have a base model this year. Now if this is the case, would it not make perfect sense to bring down the price of the TSX Premium to about $35,500...to make for a lower gap between the Canadian and US price?

Acura Victoria which is closing down is having a blow out sale. You can pick up a TL SH-AWD for $47,000 - $5,000 which brings it down to $42,000. Not bad since that's what I paid for my TSX Tech with Aero kit. Or you can get a TSX Tech with Auto for $39,000.

I heard it's all pretty much a dead duck. My thinking to this is partly because of the extra model which is the V6 TSX and partly cuz the CSX this year will only be available as a Tech Package and a type-S...priced right now at 31,290 and 33,290 (apparently the prices of these models will come down slighly also).

Is the base TSX (with cloth) a big seller in Canada?
I have noticed that Acura (in the US) seems to be offering lower volume cars/trims in just a few color combos for 2010. For example the base & CMBS RL's and the stick shift TSX & TL's are offered in four color combos instead of the full range of colors as before.

Ok, so the base TSX with cloth lives on for 2010 PLUS the pricing for the V6 TSX is official, with a release date of Oct.1st
V6 TSX Base - $39,790
V6 TSX Tech - $42,790
Also, prices for 4 cylinder are similar to 2009, with the Base and Premium going up $90 each while the Tech goes up $290.

Just so I can wrap me head around this...
4 cyl AT TSX w/Tech is $40,300
4 cyl AT TSX Prem is $37,500
For a difference of about $2100-$2200. That's what I call value for the V6. Not the $5,500 insanity they charge in the US. And still about a grand less than a base TL.
Now if only they offered a 6MT

Just a comparison for all the TSX Canadian pricing for those who are not aware.
All Prices are MSRP without frieght/pdi or any tax
For comparison purposes with V6 models...all transmissions in AT
2010 TSX Base 4cyl: $34290
2010 TSX Premium 4cyl (adds leather, hids + minor things to base): $37590
2010 TSX Tech 4cyl: $40590
2010 TSX Base V6: $39790
2010 TSX V6 Tech: $42790
2010 TL Base V6 FWD: $39990
Which brings to my point: why is the V6 TSX only $200 cheaper than the larger TL with the same drivetrain? I notice the US price difference between Base TSX V6 and Base TL FWD is also a few hundred dollars difference...this makes no sense to me
For information: $1 CDN = ~93 US cents at the moment.

Three Wheelin'
Now may be time to look at remaining 09 stock. In BC they are offering $3,000 factory to dealer incentives for all remaining TSX and TL models.
So the TSX Premium 4cyl: $34,590 and
the TL Base V6 FWD: $36,990

So you can get a base TL for much less than a TSX V6. Nice work Acura, your marketing is just awesome

Having said that I'd take a TSX over a TL.

Im not to sure what Acura Canada is trying to do. Its sales have been probably the worse out of all Luxury brands since last fall (As most have had increasing sales during these economic times...which is odd).
There currently are huge incentives to move their product and inventories are not an issue. They are now going to offer these kinds of prices for the TSX. I didnt think Acura sales numbers could get any worse after last month but I think Acura is trying hard to prove us wrong.

Then again, maybe they don't expect to sell many V6's so they're not too concerned.

I was using "desrosiers" as I thought they where the best for manufactuer figures in Canada. There September results have showed Acura is down the most Monthly, YTD and even in market share than all the other major luxury builders in Canada.
http://www.desrosiers.ca/Monthly%20Updates/sales.pdf
I quickly checked the canadiandriver forum but i couldnt find their stats section (although it is a big site). I have always wanted to find a breakdown of vehicles sold in Canada but can never find a good site. If you know of one that breaks down vehicle stats and not just manufactuers could you please post me a link as i would sure appreciate it....Thanks in advance.

sure thing. I don't have the exact page but if you head on over to the canadiandriver forum and look at the Sales Reports and Industry News section there's a thread titled Canadian Sales Figures or something like that by siraquaman. It's a pdf updated monthly and breaks down sales by model and manufacturer month to month. hope that's what you're looking for.
