2010 TSX V6 Active Sound Control
Did anyone else know about this feature? I guess it only came on the V6 variant (and of course the TL's / RL's /etc).
Has anyone ridden in a I-4 & V6 and noticed any differences?
Does anyone know if there is a way to enable / disable the feature? I would like to test the differences!

From the Popular Mechanics test of the TSX V6:
But the smartest standard system on the TSX V6 is the new Active Sound Control, which decreases engine boom noise below 2000 rpm as well as high frequency noise during engine cruising. The system uses mics strategically placed in the cabin to determine the sound level and then decides when and how much noise-cancelling sound (inaudible to the driver) it should pump through the sound system to mute the bad stuff. According to John Watts, Acura's Sr. Manager of Product Planning, the system not only effectively quiets the cabin but it does so with less weight gain to the car than adding additional sound deadening material would.

I wonder if it was Acura trying to get the noise of the V6 down to the noise level of the I-4? The V6 is diffidently a lot louder than the I-4.

It's ok pat. We got the V6 and the Bose headphones, but you I-4 peeps are going to get all the cool JDM goodies. Us V6 owners are going to be screwed for aftermarket parts since the V6 is only in the US.
So now it's my turn to say....

I wish Acura put the Active Sound Control in the I-4.
I dream that one day Acura will start making their cars "Lexus Quiet." I don't understand why Honda can't make their cars with less Road Noise
I'd gladly pay more for the car to get less Road Noise.
