I guess they're mass marketing this car right now in the Chicagoland area. TNT, Bravo, ABC, Food Network, and a couple more have been frequently airing the commercial. I have to say the new looks is starting to grow on me. Not as original and captivating as the first gen, still think they could've done something a little wilder (sport4 concept?)

i dont think theyre specifically targetting the Chicagoland area. The cable companies are national and they should all play the same commercials no matter what the region. Example: Sonic fast food commercials. I see them all the time but theres none in the Chicago area.

 

i havent seen any of the commercials on tv yet, maybe b/c i skip through them with my tivo. but yeah i do see lots of sonic commericals in my area and there are none around where i live

 

TSX commercials have actually seemed to die down a little bit in the NY/NJ area. When the car was first released, I saw them a lot more. Now it's just once in a while. They need to keep it up for it to do something, IMO. It costs money, but you gotta spend some money to make some moneyl

 

Interesting, I see them all the time. I think I see them on Discovery (mythbusters, dirty jobs), on CBS (CSI), maybe on Scifi (Battlestar Galacitca) and on Speed (Formula 1) Maybe you're not watching the same shows?

 

I not only see the commercials often I see banner ads as well. If the new TSX isn't a success nobody will be able to say it was for a lack of marketing.

I found in an auto review something I had been curious about for a while, which is that Honda sells many many more Euro Accords than Acura TSX's, so when considering whether something such as the larger size was done for the US market or the Euro market I think it's safe to assume we're realy getting stuck with whatever Europeans want in their Accord. I'm not surprised they would gravitate more towards our Accord than away from it.

 

wackura...and what baffles me the most is why would Europeans buy so much more Honda Accord than their own European vehicles especially that here in north america, we try to compare every cars to the european makers who have such wonderful RWD plateforms...

i've still only seen one 2009 TSX on the road, actual owner/lease and that was yesterday in the Chicagoland area.

 

Saw a white 09 TSX today here in Vancouver, for the first time.

 

There were two during today's F-1 race....

 

What color and where did you see it? I was at the NHRA drag races in Joliet yesterday. I did see a brand new TL-S that was parked in the row in front of me.

Because of the storm and the fact that everyone is parked on grass. The exit lanes were all mud. I have an inch of mud caked in my wheel wells now along with mud on the hood from rednecks spinning thier wheels in the mud, bouncing off the rev limiter. I did spray down the car and tried to blast as much mud off as I could but It was too dark to see all of it

 

Hrmm...I've never seen that one. I see the one where it's a bunch of girls hitting a nightclub and a chick swimming in a rooftop pool with her clothes on. I don't necessarily understand that commercial...I think the marketing people need to work on relating to their target because I'm a young professional in an urban market and that commercial does nothing for me. It reminds me of the Mitsu Eclipse commercials from 3-4 years ago.
