on my 01 and most TL-Cl of gen2 can run 225 tires but 235 will need a little fender modding to clear- this is assuming you are running lowered about 1.5 inches
My rims are 18x8.0 and 45 offset. You will be sticking out of the fender with 9.5 IMO
You can look in the Tires section of the main gen2 thread list - there are combos
that work or dont listed there

Yes but only if you got some 225s and rolled the fenders. A 235 is too wide for that fitment.

Yea but I can't guarantee they wont rub even at stock height. You might be ok at stock height, but it will look ridiculous.

^^

Find wheels that fit the car.

Also the tl lowered rids just fine. Every one that has ridden in my car could never tell it was lowered. It rides better than stock (except with a big dip in the road) you would never know. Large tires like your looking at will make the ride rougher than lowering it!!

is the ride realy better then stock? what are you lowered on? I think that my suspention hasnt been changed or looked at since the car was new and its getting bumpy and I can feel every little think on the road. so I figured since i may have to do something aobut that why not lower it a few inches, and i am looking for rims so I kind of wanted to do it all at once.

Would a 18x8 in a 38 offset with a 1.25~1.50 drop work on an 01 tl/cl?
