Arrow Whose done this?

Today I tried slamming the front all the way and I ran into a problem with the upper control arm hitting the body. Kind of sounded like a tapping noise when I went over any bumps. Im quite sure Ive seen where someone cut out some of the body to allow the control arm to actually move without hitting anything. Who was it? How did you do it? Would you do it again? And is that not a part of the body that needs a lot of support?

The towers are a highly structural part of the front. What ever cutting you do, i would cap it by welding metal over it. Without it all you are doing is severely weakening them. They flex quite a bit under load (cornering) hence why there is a strut bar that connects one another.

if your goal is to slam and not have banging noise..... sure. go for it. just do what fsttyms1 said to do.

make a "cap" and weld it over it so that its not just a gaping hole.

Right. I just sent a message to 02actclean. Does anyone else have photos of the actual "cap" or "box" where they welded it in there? The biggest thing im worried about is thats sposed to be a strong structural part of the body no? I dont want to tweak or destroy anything. Im starting to find out many people have done this so im feelin more comfortable about it. Just have many ?'s. thanks for all the help everyone. Love thys damn forum
