wheels
There is a couple people on this forum, who have spray painted their Type-S wheels. I know someone, can't remember who, who went for the time attack look (red stripe around lip). I believe "elkayem" painted his Type-S wheels black. Maybe you can ask him?
just look at the members rides. itll give you and idea you didnt say what color your car was either. that will make a big diff. polished is close to chrome and here is a member with chrome wheels

Yup, that's my ride here. I did chrome exchange with Discount Tire. Having a bright white car masks the chrome. My wheels would stand out a lot more on a black, red, or blue car much more than mine. My chrome has lasted for years with no issues at all, then again I keep up with them. Some bennies to polishing vs chrome is obviously the polished will be lighter weight. This will keep your acceleration good. Downside to polishing is that it requires alot of work to keep up with the shine..I've had both and I prefer chrome because I think it doesn't require as much work to keep the shine. If you have the Mothers Chrome Power Ball thing, it may speed up the process.
Good luck in what you decide to do! BTW, my chrome exchange cost $650 which included dismount, mount and balancing the new wheels. They order the wheels first and when they come in, you bring your car and they take yours off and send them back to get chromed and put the new chromes back on your car...easy.
