wheel offset question?

Hey guys. i was wondering i want a set of rotas for my 03 TL-S. but the rotas come in a max offset in the wheels that i want at a +48 offset. this is in 17X8 +48offset. will i be able to run these wheels with no problems?? i know the stock off set is +55 so that is a +7 off. so would it be ok if i run these wheels with a drop?? im new to the TL. i m use to integras and crxs. so TLs are completely different. any suggestions? thanks
