Whats a good way to measure your coilover drop?

I just installed My coilovers, but I'm not sure how to measure the drop to make it even all around. I put them in yesterday, so I'm gonna get a wheel alignment next week sometime.

Either count the amount of threads between the lower perch and the bottom of the threads, or take a tape measure and measure from the center of the wheel (center cap area) to the top of the wheel arch.
