What level of impact do tires have on handling?
Howdy,
I've been driving (03-TLS) on OEM sized Falken ZIEX-512s on stock rims. I just replaced them with a set Sumitomo HTR+. It feels like the steering is much more responsive. The slightest touch of the steering wheel sends you moving. Is this all in my head or can tires make that much of a difference? (It could be that how is should have always been but someone (not me of course) decided a 2" drop would require a camber kit -- the Falkens were clearly pretty jacked up. And yes a camber kit in the mail
Thanks,
Joe

Could be the weight and/or tire width of the tires. You'd be surprised how much weight and tire width has to do with steering "feel". When I go from 235/40/18 + 18" Volk rims down to 205/50/17 + 17" OEM rims ... you can use 1 finger to parallel park with the 17" rims.
