What about these rims

a friend of mine who deals parts got a set of rays wheels volks racing GT-N 18" X 7.5" rims cause someone owed him a favor. he is holding them for me till the end of the week till i decide what to do. the cheapest i have seen them is $450 each ($1800 for 4). he will probably give them to me for $1200-1500. i dont really have the money right now, but he'll let me pay in installments, do it almost seems stupid not to. what do u guys think about these rims and the deal in general. i am looking for performance and not just aesthetics.

you have to go to volks racing (2nd button down on the left) and then choose GT-N

Here are the specs: (the rims are either gunmetal or mercury silver)

●Color : Gold, Gunmetal, White, Mercury Silver (Special color options/Extra \3,000)
●The OFFSET A in the size table denote models matching big calipers of SKYLINE (excluding CPV35/BREMBO calipers), FAIRLADY Z (Z32), SILVIA, CELSIOR, SUPRA, RX-7 and IMPREZA.
●The OFFSET C in the size table has little brake caliper and hub ring clearances, please be very careful fitting them on.
●The depth of rims in the size table denotes the length from flanges to faces of disks.
●Special P.C.D. : Not available
●Attachments : Valvestem
●Optional accessories : Center Cap
●Prices of parts : Center Cap \2,500, Valvestem \800

if you like performance out of your wheels you deffinately need the weight of the tires according to some super honda page your volk gt-n will run

Volk GTN Forged/Spun 18x7.5 ---18.5lbs
Volk GTN Forged/Spun 18x8.5 ---19.0lbs

id say the loss of weight is always good for our tl's i do know our stock at 16" weight 20 sumthing???lbs

you want performance run these :

Volk TE37 Mag Forged Mg 18x8.5--- 12.9lbs --i know a bit wide so go with :

Volk TE37 Forged 17x7.5 ----15.0lbs

19x 8.5 and your going to have rubbing issues depending on many things --drop, offset, numerous others it dont help if you got chunky in your backseat either. stick with higher offset rims and youll be ok if your going 19" go with at least 45 offset the higher the better

if you like the gt-n go for it good investment make sure the offset is high 40+
