Question Warped wheel, does warranty cover this, best place to get a new OEM wheel?

During tire balancing, one tire ended up to be warped and impossible to balance, I looked at it spinning and sure enough warped and I can feel the bumpy ride at 70mph+ speed. Car is still under warranty (NGP-TLS03 with OEM WHEELs). Anyone dealt with with situation before, did warranty cover this? Not sure I how I got it, I drive on highway 90% of the time, rest small town with good roads 10%. Worst case have to get a new one, anyone knows a reliable place online to get a new OEM TLS wheel? Thank you for your help.

warranty should take care of it...otherwise the dealer will charge $2300 for a new wheel, and if you buy online you'll have to trust that what you're buying is in the conditions described...ebay has this kind of sales all the time.

I don't think warranty will cover this one. A wheel is a 'wear and tear' item and won't be covered (for the most part). It would be like saying, "Hey -- my wipers don't work cleanly. I don't abuse them but they don't work like when they were new. I want Acura to have them replaced under warranty."

A new rim/wheel will definitely cost less than $2300. New OEM rim would be about $400 (a guess?) and maybe you could reuse the tire on your current rim. It might be easier for them to get the rim fixed. The OEM rims are pretty strong (outsourced by Enkei) but not indestructible. Most bent rims would cost $100 to get fixed.

Hope that helps.
