Tsx rims on 2nd TL questions and HELP!

i just put on my tsx rims 17" spoke rims on to the 2nd Gen. TL

the rims, IMO looks okay! ( i order it accidentally). but now the wheel gap is
TOO big.

front is almost 5 fingers gap, rear is 4 fingers gap! ( my car looks like a 4X4)
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

does anyone know what i can do to drop without changing the ride quality and
still giving the aggressive look.

does the H&R O.E. will help a bit but the front is higher than my rear.
i am afrid if i use the OE and the the front is still higher than the back.

Please Help!!~~~~~

The H&R OE springs will lower the car by 3/4" ... good if you have to go up steep driveways. Ride should not be diminished if you keep stock shocks. If you want less of a "4X4" look, then go with Comptech springs. I would also advise to change your shocks while you're at it ... save on labor costs (ie do it all at once VS separately) Better yet, why not go coilovers? TeinSS are probably the best choice. Plus coilovers are good that you can change the height that you want it without it being slammed.

Anything lower (eg Eibach springs, H&R sports) will most likely give you a jarring ride.

worst than than the 16" stock

the 16" stock rims wil give you about 3.5 inches clearance with the tires.
the 17" tires give you a 0.5 inches less than the stock, compare with the 16"
now the 1.5 inches of the 17" rims is becoming the gap is now the problems.

i went to the dealer to get a oil change and had the tech check the clearance
to make sure the wheels is not rubbing the springs or anything.

i think it looks good on the 2nd TL.

just need to get that gap fixed.

TeinSS is recommend to me by many ppl. but what about the Tein Basic?
is that still as good. and what is the difference?

TeinSS has more adjustablity if I remember correctly. Basic should be just fine but the SuperStreet (SS) gives more of a 'stock' feel if you want to.

BTW, there's a guy in SD that's selling his barely used NEX coilovers (don't know who the guy is ... check out the 'black market' forum). Those are pretty good as well. That's if you don't want to spend > $800 on suspension parts.

I'd love to see some pics! I have purchased the same wheels, but am waiting for spring to buy new 17" tires to put on them and mount them.

Man, the only thing I can see in those pictures is the wheels. Any way you can take a couple of pictures during the day?

What size tires did you buy? What size are the original tires for the type s? That might explain the gap. It looks like you got a lower profile tire.

the tire i got is the same size as stock, 215-55-17 but i notice something that the

wheel is 17 X 7 not like the Type S the wheel is 17 X 6.5

i don't know if that makes a big difference.

but now is better, i got the Tein SS riase to 1.5" fwd, 1.0" rear

now is a bit even, with 3 finger gap all around.
