Tire size difference

Ok, so the TL needs new tires and I'm set on the Kumho Ecsta 4X. The sizes are 225/45/R17 and 215/50/R17. The 225 is $10 cheaper per tire. Which is a better overall tire or is their no diff.?

Im running 225/45/17 Falken Ziex 512. Get the 225, they're a perfect size imo
