Tire size for 17s
I'm dropping my 02 next weekend but I'm not sure what the best tire size to run for looks and fit.. I'm running the 02 S-Type chrome wheels with the 215/50-17 tires.. I'm wanting to step up to some 19's in the future but not in the budget right now.. So I'm wanting to know what the best tire size to run on these rims that will look and fit the best.. Droppin car 2" rear 1.6" front... Oh and I used the search button but didn't get a straight answer to my question.. I know it's all personal choice but you guys probably know more than I about what it will look like in the end... Thx

225/50-17 is within OE spec, but sidewall is a little tall imo
225/45-17 is within OE spec and is what I run on my TL-S wheels with a drop.
check my pics about 2/3 of the way down on this thread:

215/50 - 80.0 Inch Circumference (Rolling Diameter)
225/45 - 78.5 Inch Circumference (-1.5")
225/50 - 81.2 Inch Circumference (+1.2")
The same can be said about 225/45 as the sidewall is a bit shorter than stock. The variance is very minimal between the 2 when compared to stock. The question to be answered is do you want a speedo to read 2% faster or 1.5% slower than stock.
