Question Tire Question?

I have 65,000 miles on the origina Michelin's and they need to go.

I have two choices, and wanted to know what you guys would reccommend/

I am going to plus size with a 225/55/16 (TL-P) and the two tires I have in mind are the BF Goodridge G-Force T/A KDWS or the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S.

I can get the BFG's for 400 shipped and the Pirelli's for 480 shipped. According to a bunch of places the Pirelli's score much higher in all aspects compared to the BFG's.

This car is my daily driver, so I need something that is going to handle well in dry, as well as rain and snow which is when I mostly drive the car. I have my S2 for the nice dry days

Thanks in advnace,
John

I would probably go for the Pirelli P-zero M&S tires. Even though they are closely ranked, the Pirelli's seem like they edge out over the BFGoodrich, especially in the snow aspect of the tire performance. I have also heard good, anecdotal reporting from others who have used Pirelli P-zero M&S tires.

Here's a survey comparison at www.tirerack.com. Another good place to look is 1010tires.com . The reviews can be contradictory or confusing especially in making tire purchases but if you look for a common pattern, you'll be able to sift through them.

cool, thats probably what I am going with anyways. I got a buddy who beat tire racks price by $5 which is still pretty impressive. He is the first person I have found who beat their price!

lol, yeah Tirerack's price is quite good on tire prices when I compared them to other places that want ridiculous prices for the same tires and sizes; the other stuff is not too bad too. hehe save every penny with price matching
