Tire Pressure?

What pressure do you guys keep on your stock tires or ones that are stock dimensions. I have Toyo's Proxes (just got an 01 tl) and on the door of the car it says 32psi. Do you guys keep your tires at this or increase it a little?

i had the same question, because i have the sumitomos and they dont recommend a pressure. it just says not exceed 45psi or something like that. so i dunno. i just go to 32-35 usually. but then again i don't know if it's right.

the 32 psi is recommended by the manufacturer for the best compromise of handling and comfort. if u want more handling, increase the pressure, if u want more comfort then drop the pressure but dropping it will make ur car drive a little more sluggish, hence not getting the best milage out of ur gas.

hope this helps.

I just did'nt want the tires to wear prematurely due to wrong tire pressure. The guy at the dealership told me that if they look really full, they are most likely to full.

2nd gen TL's normally look like their flat in the front, thats only cuz of the weight in the engine. u can try increasing the front first and see how it feels, just do some experiments with the air hot and see how it is and adjust to your liking. as long as u don't exceed 39/40 then u should be ok, IMO.

Keep in mind that you would need to have higher that specified pressure if you install H-rated tires. Originally spec'd V-rated tires have stiffer sidewalls and therefore give you different handling, than H-rated. So people that install H-rated tires bumped up pressure to get handling close to the one that comes with V-rated tires.
I have V-rated tires and maintain 33 psi cold. Tire wear and handling is good. I have tried different pressure settings and came back to 33 psi.
