Which of these is the best for my Type S?

some local guy is selling tires for a good price...after searching im leaning towards the kumho 711s but im still not sure
here are the brands hes selling, they are performance rated (is this good enough)

Kumho Ecsta 711
Ultra High Performance Tires
340 Treadwear
AA Traction
A Temperature

215/45-17 $81 ea
225/45-17 $85 ea

will these fit? good tires? im mostly looking for durability...dont really care about performance cus i dont race or anything...just want something that will last

Get the Yokohama Avid V4S. This is what I have on my TLS (215/50/17) and they are great tires. Priced right around 100 a tire, and they have a 500 tread rating and trust me, they last!!!

I also agree. I have a set of 15" tires on my commuter Accord and I have 60K miles on them and still got about 15K left to go on these things! Great tire!

225-45-17 tires are short in diameter than stock so it will throw your obdometer off a little.

Thumbs up AVS ES 100's Rock

I personally like the AVS ES 100's. But then again, I live in San Diego. My next tires will be the new Goodrich tires with the diamond design.

hey just a heads up...

whalen tires ( www.whalentires.com) is having a sale on the 711 right now... at 60 dollars per tire...

although the 711's aren't the greatest of all tires, for that price, it's a pretty good deal....

also whalen is selling the 711's online at ebay for the same price but i think on ebay they are charging a lower shipping rate...

hope this helps...

Ditto on the Avid V4S's. Great tire. The handling on these tires compared to the stock POS Michelins are night and day. . . Go for it. . .
