BTW, calling me or emailing might have gotten you an answer faster, just fyi. I wish I would have been able to answer sooner!
Wouldn't this be more based on the engine location than FWD/RWD?

pretty sure the point he was getting at was that most rwd cars have the engine in the front too..

Yes but the transmission is not, it is in the middle, or the rear. On a RWD car you can have a lot more variation on the weight distribution and you really can't make as many assumptions as you can FF.

the tein ss have adjustable dampening and rebound rate via `oil flow rate` adjustment.

You can make it ride softer than OE at setting Zero of 16
I run 4 front 6 rear (of 16 settings-16 is max stiff) on my 01TL on 235/40/18s and its great in town or freeway--very much wife approved ride- and I can change it in seconds if planning on smooth or rough road trip ahead--click click down 2 and it takes care of road construction irregularities...up 2 and its backroad fun alone

Adjusting the fronts is more common than the rear- those you set and forget once happy..and you can cut an opening for the tool thru the speaker deck to make fast adjust to them too--

total hi tech???- EDFC electronic motor control unit with in car adjuster box for on the fly control
Gen3 is still working on a strut bar that will allow the motors to fit--
gen2 is bolt up ready for it

Going to have some real fun???--crank them up and it stiffens up to decent enough for a for filled track day at speed!~

i honestly dont know what "stock" feels like since i bought the car already lowered on comptech springs.. they feel better than the comptech/tokico blue setup i had before for sure though.. and maybe its just me, but i figured they would ride stiffer.. i have the rear at 10 and the fronts at 12 right now and it seems like the front still sways on the rebound.. i dunno..

try softening them up--
OE would be super soft setting 0 to 2
4 in front is good for in town or freeway construction-
10 would bounce over the bumps rather than absorb them
thats with 16 being full clockwise-right
Its so easy to adjust just keep playing with it
What type of ride do you want??

so you can change the dampening with the car on the ground on each side, but to change the drop the car has to be jacked up and changed on each side?
