TE-37 on TL?

Had a set laying around (from my prelude) and i put one of them on. 17x7 w/ 40 offset. Tires are thin, so even with the drop it has a big wheel gap.

Yea or nay?

they look extremely small for some reason. get bigger profile tires and a drop. it should help the look of it somewhat. the rims do look nice though, but i dont know about it for our cars..

Car is already dropped on Teins H.Tech. The looks small because the rims and tires were from my prelude. I was just trying to get opinions on them.

Damn they do look small. What size tires are they on?

Reason is because I used to have 17s with 215/45/17 x 7 and they looked pretty big. Even a few people thought they were 18s.

I'm going with 18" TE-37's in Mercury Silver next season. I think it looks great on the TL... but due to the design of the spokes, you have to have the right size and drop to make it look good. Otherwise it will look too small.

yea, those are special edition TE's. Mercury silver w/ polished lip. They are 17x7, but the tires on there were for a dropped prelude, so to make it look right it'll need thicker tires.

Keep in mind, rims with lips generally look smaller than they are. I had C5 18's and with the inch lip, they looked like 17s. I now have 17" SilverStars and people think they are 18's.

TE37's have been done before on a TL. I think they look really good. Secondly, I'm not a real big fan of chrome so your choice #2 ... I'm not feelin' it. Just get new tires for your Volks and you're good to go. +40 offset is kinda low for our cars but a 7" rim ... you should be OK with your Tein springs.

The Iforged are not chrome. High polished, so it just looks like chrome. I personally think the TE's look out of place on the TL.

I like the TE-37 on the TL... But because of the way the rim is design, it just look really small... I have 19" TE-37 on my Tl, and people keep asking me if they were 17" or 18".
