suspension question?

i cant seem to get a good answer so i thought id ask the people who actually drive the cars....and sorry if this has been asked, i searched but couldnt get an answer

Im starting to look into lowering a little. i just dont know what to go with.

im not really looking for performance, more looks. so i want the best ride quality.
im also not trying to dump it. just want the huge wheel gap reduced.

so how low and with who?

thanks in advance

Sounds like you are the perfect candidate for the H&R OE springs.

Oh and if your mileage is high, look to replace the shocks at the same time.

lowering springs will go 1.5 to 2 inches down, but you need new good shocks designed to work with lowered springs, or you just wear out the shocks

Coilover sets include new shocks with new springs and you can adjust the height of the car easily. Some have adjustment for the ride control too
See the Off Topic Sponsored Sales area, look at peoples sig etc
here is some good tech info

Thread moved ...

But I went with Tein H.tech springs ... they lower about 1" around (approx) but still maintains the OEM 'firmness' of ride quality. I think they are a good compromise of looks / performance.

As others have suggested ... maybe look into coilovers since if you're gonna replace springs, you might as well consider getting new shocks to avoid paying for labor twice if the shocks are high miles.

Also check Tanabe (NF210 I believe).

Also Tokiko Shocks are a pretty good value.

Have not installed either on our 2G, but this is the combination I've been thinking about and is pretty well thought of on the forum.

Hope that was "helpful" enough.

I'm running Tanabe nf210 with Koni sports.I really like this setup, had h&r sport before but they were to low for my liking in the front.I dont need camber kit alignment shows within specs.I would say with the Koni's set on the softest setting i drive very much like stock. When i started looking i was just like you needed to get rid of the gap but really did not want to sacrifice the ride.
