suspension

Hey guys quick question. I went to the dealership yesterday to get my recall done -airbags-...anyway when they did a courtesy 16 point inspection and told me I needed to replace my links and bearings. I am a noobie when it comes to this but is he talkin. about wheel bearings and stabilizing links?

Those are pretty common wear items, the bearings more so than the links.

Dealership probably should have clarified everything when you got the car back, but just call and ask if you're in doubt.

Seriously you started another thread with the exact same question if you dont get a response in 5 hours it doesn't mean start another thread.

As i said in the other thread take it to another mechanic, first because dealer is dealer and they will change shit just because, second because another mechanic is going to be $20-30 cheaper in labor.

They only good thing about the dealer is the warranty and ability to take to any dealer for work, but get a second option before throwing money at something without being sure theres a problem

No heat theres been alot of that going around, also so a mechanic can't screw you call the dealer or advanced auto parts and ask them the price on the part, the dealer can also tell how many labor hours it will be, from there you figure if a mechanic is trying to rip you off, somtimes they will overcharge on parts or labor to make a better profit, if you see that i would suggest going to another place and just avoid the scam
