steering wheel shaking at 60mph

When I drive at speeds lower than 60mph there's no shaking, but when I drive over 60mph the steering wheel starts shaking a little and increases as i maintain that speed or over. Can that be because of the wheels are not balanced properly?

That's what my guess would be... take it to Acura or any tire shop and see what they say

Didnt you just get new wheels? Is the plastic ring for the center ~ hubcentric ring~ (aftermarket rims) needed and not installed?
Hunter Roadforce machines do a really good job balancing.

What you described are the characteristics of a wheel that is out of balance or a bent wheel (thereby creating an imbalance). Any local tire shop should be able to tell you what is wrong.

+1. Definitely sounds like a wheel balance issue.

i'm almost 100% it's an unbalanced wheel. if there's vibration or shaking of the steering wheel, it's 1 of the 2 front wheels, or both.

have both front wheels looked and they should balance properly at 00.00

Do you have hub centric rings with your new wheels? You may need those, rotate the fronts to the rears and see if it goes away, if it does one or both the front wheels needs to be rebalanced.

This is the car that put new bigger rims and tires on recently, and had rear tab rubbing issue on stock suspension- there is more to this car than meets the eye

Always check the last thing done to the car- back to the tire store you go!

Did you properly torque the lugs to factory specs? (80ft/lbs) Don't overlook the simple things.

Could be balance or the control arm. Had similar issue last fall but it was the upper control arm...in my case it was the arm and ball joint. Either way get it looked at before you screw up your tires.

It was a balance issue, they were balanced properly by the "professional".
He says it's partially because I don't have a centric hub.But now there's no vibrations so i'll leave it like that.

Do yourself a favor and get a set of hubcentric rings for the rims.
