Si Wheels on a TL-S? Yay or Nay?

Well I have ran down all the treads on my tires on my TL-S stock rims. I also bought a 06 Si in February and have the stock wheels stacked up in the garage since I got 18s for the Si. The Si's tire is 215 45 R17 while the TL-S is 215 50 R17. I am kinda trying to save money since the holidays are coming but I need new tires for the rainy season and the TL is my commuter car. So I thought I just throw the Si's stocks on the TL. How does it look? Be honest.

Am I going to have any problems with the smaller tire? What should I expect?

Thanks!

damn, looks nice. it's not a bad choice at all.

the only thing with the smaller size is the fact that your gear ratio will change a little, but it's so little it wouldn't matter. If anything, your car would acclerate faster and your speedometer would show faster than u're actually goin...could be a good cure for speeding lol.

Looks nice I think. Makes your TL look newer somehow. How is the Si? I would love to have one, that or a 6 speed NSX.

The Si is running great! With the HFP Suspension kit and LSD, the car corners amazingly!

You can go to 1010tires.com and click on the tire size calculator to see how it's going to affect your speedometer. I was recently in the market for a new set of wheels and tires, and considered buying SI wheels that I saw on Ebay, however, the 1010tires.com calculator scared me out of it, it said the size difference was greater than 3% and could cause brake failure. I don't imagine that that is really that big of a concern, tho.

Anyway I ended up with the TSX wheels that Len (G36) put up for sale. They arrive next week. I'll post pics when I get them on.

Yea I have a few more pics on the S13 in the back. LOL Good job in spotting it guys. HAha... I think I am going to take off the 18s from the Si this weekend and put them on the TL and take some pics and see how they look. I think the 18's will fit better on the TL.

There is one pic of the front end at the end of the first post. I will post some more pics of it when I get home.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Wow! There are VERY few rims that I like in the 17" size, but these rims look amazing.

They do make the car look "newer" as well. And that's not just because they're clean and new. From a design standpoint they're super hot.

I came in to the topic very skeptical to be honest, but once I actually saw them? I'd throw those on my car in a second.
