Safe wheel Offset range
Safe wheel Offset range
I dropped my 02TLS with some Tanabe NF210 springs, about 1.5" drop F&R.
I am getting some rubbing over speed humps and dips.
My current crappy wheels are 17" X 7" with apparently 35mm offset and running stock tire size. Rather than work on the fenders, I'd rather just get new wheels.
What is a SAFE offset for NO RUBBING with my setup, staying with 17" X 7" wheels & 215/50-17 tires??
FAQ post says +42 offset for 7" width. So just stay with only exactly +42 for a 7" width, or is there a safe range of offset, say from +40 to +50 or something?

There was a thread on here awhile back entitled something like "Places to buy wheels" that listed several good internet sites. Like NSXNext said 17x7 and 17x7.5" +45 offset are common. One site I've been looking at is Discount Tires Direct (not promoting them, but they have free shipping and cheaper prices.)
I'm personnally just looking for cheap wheels because I'm not planning on keeping my car but a few more years
