RX-8 wheels on a 03 TLS?
I was browsing through craigslist and I see for sale a set of RX-8 wheels (doesn't specify 04 or 05) and tires for pretty cheap. I checked online for its bolt pattern and the it matches the TL, but I couldn't get a definitive answer for their offset. How do you guys think it would look?

It everything fits, I wonder if I can find Acura center caps that would fit. Hmmm.....

I found out that the RX-8 wheels are 18x8" with the bolt pattern of 5x114.3 and the offset of 50mm. All the numbers indicate that it will fit an 03 TLS with no problems, but will it look good?

Do they have the 64.1mm center hub bore size. If it's smaller, they won't sit flush on the hub..if it's bigger, you will need hub centric rings to prevent vibration. Not sure you can get those unless you get some rings that hopefully fit. Something to keep in mind.
As far as center caps, you can get blanks on ebay cheap! Maybe the A logo would fit..who knows

From an eBay auction, the center caps are 56mm. I don't see any Acura center caps that small. I'm debating whether to buy them or not right now...

I would recommend going to a junk yard or used wheel shop to see if they have one you can test fit or something. But, the wheel will work if the center bore hub size is at least 64.1mm or slightly larger. You could try to center the wheel on the hub with the lugs, but it's tricky and no matter how well your tires are balanced, you will always have vibration. That's why most all aftermarket wheels have hub centric rings to make the wheel fit snug around the hub lip.
Just because the center cap is smaller, doesn't necessarily mean the back side of the wheel opening is the same size. The part that needs to be measured is on the back opening of the hub hole, behind the center cap. If the diameter is 64.1mm or more, it might just work. May take some phone calls to the Mazda dealership to find out exactly. Good luck!

Forgot to mention, the center caps should be available for Mazda wheels, it just blank with no logo. You could always "make" an Acura logo center cap with some emblems and strong weatherproof glue.

They should fit based on that info, but if they don't center the wheel just perfectly when mounting, it will cause vibration while driving like the tires aren't balanced, even though they are. It may not even be noticeable...hard to say. Some tire shops have extra hub centric rings laying around. Ask the manager if they can try to make some fit. They may charge you or since you are getting them to mount the tires on the new RX8 wheels, perhaps as a cust svc gesture, they just give them to you for free.
Let us know what happens.
