Ron Jon - Inspyre - Brilliant Chromes

Hey guys,

I am interested in purchasing from RONJON http://ronjonwheels.com/inspyre_chrome.html item# RJ397551C - Inspyre-Brilliant Chrome 19x7.5 with +50offset for my 1999 Acura 3.2 TL - Regular. I had a few questions about so i can decide better and that if you can provide me with a bit of extra information to help me in making my decision for choosing the best for my car.

Questions
1) Will these fit my 1999 Acura TL with out any drastic modifications? because through my research on Acurazine, with that offset and that thickness they should be good to go

2) What size of rubber of rubber is recommended with these rims for a 1999 Acura TL? And does Ronjon provide rubbers?

3) I would like to know if u can help me by recommending a certain drop for the car with these rims ? the two most commen i see on AcuraZine is 2 inch all around or 2 in front and 1.6 in back
what would you guys recommend?

4) would i need a camber kit if i install these rims and decide to lower.? i just dont want any type of rubbing.

For the record im planning to lower with adjustable coilovers... wat u guys think is a better way to go coil over or lowering springs and shocks???

thx for any replys i know its a bit of long msg

coilovers
Ask RonJon if they fit right- they will know for sure
They come with the hubcentric rings

desper is running massive drop on his 05 on 19" RJs and Tein SS coilovers
with adjustable coilovers you can play with the ride comfort and handling- not something regular shock on low springs will do!

Quoted From -- FAQ: wheel rim size "will they fit?" --:

All,

When purchasing rims for a car, there are several specifications to ensure a good 'fit'.

1) rim size
2) rim width
3) offset
4) bolt pattern

Rims range from 16" to 19" for our cars. Any smaller and they won't clear the OEM calipers. Any larger and you will have issues with 'rubbing'. I'm sure someone will say, "I got [XX] size to fit", but seriously -- look at their setup and most will not find that look very appealing.

Rim width and offset go hand-in-hand. Depending on your rim width, you have to watch the offset. The wider the rim, the higher the offset (so it doesn't rub up against the wheel well or plastic tabs of the fender when you hit a bump).

Our TL/TLS come with 6.5" rims with +55 offset, made my Enkei. General rule (but not always the case since there is some variation among manufacturers):

7" rim = +42 offset
7.5" rim = +45 offset
8" rim = +48 offset

> 8.5" rim ... forget it unless you wanna do some custom bodywork for it to fit.

This is only a guideline, not an end-all, be-all. Those who have done suspension work may have to find a higher offset than that posted to make sure their application will not have any problems.

Lastly, bolt pattern -- our cars have 5x114.3JJ bolt pattern. Luckily, many rim manufacturers make this bolt pattern but offset will be your limiting factor.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the rims w/ our cars have a +55 offset.. so i'm pretty sure that those suckers will fit because the bolt pattern is good, the size is the largest shown in the above quote, and 7.5" fits...

got a pic of a different finish on a 2G TL

Thanx guys for the Info -
Firstly Big ups to RonJon Great customer service. Fast reply lol i got sold as soon as i got the reply quick and fully answered with my concerns. I hope they dont mind askin me few more questions but I actually emailed RONJON Direct email and this is the reply they gave me for the Questions I had....

"1) no modifications required at all, simp0ly bolt on as OEM wheesl do.

2) 225/35/19, or 235/35/19 for a little more comfort, alltho the 225 looks better

3) drop depends on your preference, 2" seems a bit low, maybe 1.5-1.75 os good.

4) after 1.75" of a drop, camber is suggested.

Adjustable coilovers are good, but tricky, sometimes they can be noisy. And adjustable height will most likely requir an alignment every season.

Thank your for your interest,

Rondy J. Marji "

So Definently I am going to go with these rims and the 225/35/19 and plan to get a 1.75 inch drop all around like recommended by RonJon.

But I am still a little confused - they say camber kit is suggested after 1.75" of drop.... DO they mean if i get more than 1.75 or even at 1.75???? What u guys think go with 1.5 or 1.75?????

And i was thinking if camber kit helps better traction and improves driving exp of car and all if i decide to get Ingalls Camber Kit from EXCELLERATE do i get the ones with the negative settings right for front -1.5 to +1.5 and back -1.5 to +3.0 - Seriously dont know much about camber kits and dont know what setting would be nice setting.... If any inputs will be appreciated.....
And Excellerate - RonJon happnend to mention in the coilovers.... which one would you recommend that have had the lowest complains and i can get the 1.75 drop with them.... and any other input u have on this will help thx guys

Ron Jons will not have hub centric rings because they are designed for each Acura/Honda vehicle. In our case, the wheels will be 64.1mm hub and 5/114.3 bolt circle. These wheels are essentially very nice upgraded OEM wheels for our cars, easiest way to put it.
