I'm sorry, but they ARE made for the TL and CL, they have a 56mm offset for crying out loud in 19" and a 52mm offset in 18" and 20". 64.1 Centerbore makes they hubcentric and they fit perfectly without any modifications. They also clear BBK and don't rub even when slammed.

There are some pics of CLs with Devotions if you click on the wheel on Ron's webpage. I'm sure you've already seen them but I figured I would let you know just in case. I personally like the Inspyres for the 2G but I am not sure how much they weigh. Maybe Rondog can answer that one for us. I am not into chrome so I would go with the hypersilver and I also don't want the added weight...and 20s are to big for my taste.

the inspyres are hot no doubt, just alot of ppl have them already, my game is getting stuff that is real limited. Ive personally seen ron's CL at meets, and the 20s on the rear are off the map, i think your right with the chrome, but the Devotions look tight in any finish, i like hypersilver myself.

JWL is a certification standard that gives the wheels the strength needed to be driven on the street. Its basically like the aftermarket standard for impact/stress and load rated tests.

JWL TESTS:

1.
Cornering Fatigue Test (Drum Endurance Test)

The purpose of this test is for checking wheel rim strength and durability. Place a wheel assembly with tire on test equipment. Radial stress is then added to simulate vehicle weight.

Test run 500,000 cycles
After 500,000 cycles inspect for cracks, deformation and any nut loosening.
2.
Radial Load Fatigue Test (Rotary Bending Test)

JWL pass criteria: 100,000 cycles
The purpose of this test is for checking durability of the wheel disc. The spokes and the hub are the first point of weight distribution from the vehicle and spoke strength is gauged by this test.

Place a wheel on testing equipment and by adding bending stress to center of disc –

Test run 100,000 cycles
After 100,000 cycles, inspect for cracks, deformation and any nut loosening.

3.
13 Degree Impact Test

JWL pass criteria: 594 kg

The main purpose of test is for checking strength between rim and disc cross section. The “joint” or the area where the spoke and the rim meet is an important structural area that is subject to great stress. The horizontal weight of the rim and the vertical stress of the spokes meet at this joint and proper structural stability is crucial for a proper wheel.

The wheel assembly is placed with tire tilted 13 degrees from horizontal plane on testing equipment.

A preset weight is dropped on the outer sidewall of tire, thus giving impact to the wheel/tire. Then inspect for cracks, deformation and air leak.

This test is very important for the recent trend of a larger/wider wheel with lower profile tire combination, because there is less air volume than OE wheel/tire and more stress to inner rim section. This test simulates actual usage condition such as hitting corner curb or objects from side.

Ron the devotions are 19 x 8.5 56mm offset. does that work for my 2g TL if so I might be interested really like those wheels, definitely look better than the inspyres and how phrostt said not alot of people have them. I figured they were for 3G TL as well since they are 8.5in wide. ROn let me know

Hova I spoke with Ron, and i thought the same thing as you did, the 19's and 20's will fit our 2nd Gen's with no problem

I thought putting 8.5in rims on a 2g TL was not possible as per many people on this site regardless of the offset. I will speak with ron if they do fit might be interested in selling my inspyres. If I was you Phrosstz0 I will definitely sell the SSR and get the Devotions, you would be the only one with them

it fits if it's a 50+ offset, but you dont find too many like that

The ronjons are 8.5" rims with +56 offset ... that is really pushing how wide you can go. Unfortunately, there is variation among wheel manufacturers with offset (ie you'd think they would be the same but they're not!) ... there is no guarantee that because an offset of + __ mm with __" rim width will work, we post a suggested guide as to what will work.

ronjon has done his homework with wheels and I have no heard of complaints on this board that the Devotions have caused fitment issues. Keep in mind the OEM 6.5" Enkeis that are standard on the TLS is 6.5" and +55 offset. 8.5" rims are 2" wider and need a considerably high offset to ensure proper fitment. At +56, that would be the bare minimum I would even say anyone should attempt. I would like to see it to believe it, personally -- I would still guess you'd have to cut tabs at the minimum. Most likely, it would be safer if you rolled the fenders, too. Nevertheless, you will be hard pressed to find anyone who will make a rim that wide with such a high offset without customization.

We had one guy with a 2G TL put the 19" Devotions on his car with no problems, he loved the way it handles. There is not other wheel in the industry that can get away with these dimensions, we really squeezed the juice out of this one, with about 2 mm of clearance before the suspension, another 2 mm of clearance berfore the fender, BBK clearance and hubcentric application, can't do any more.
Hova, since you are local, you are welcome to bring your car when it is nice out for a test fitment of 20" since we never sold a set to a 2G TL. I am still confident it will fit fine, considering I have them on my car slammed with n/p.
