Rim question for my 2001TL
Hi everyone just need a hand with some Rim questions .
the rim I am looking at is a:
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Size: 18"x8.5"
Off Set: +45mm
I have a 2001 TL (stock, everything OEM, springs, no kit... etc),
-bolt pattern: should fit (correct me if not),
-size: will you think 8.5" be too wide and be sticking out alot (since the OEM is about 16x205) and will going up to 18" be a problem with stock springs ?
-Off set: from what i have seen in other posting the best is 48, but this shouldn't be a problem since I heard that there should be a thing call "spacer" where it can adjust the offset.
anyway thanks everyone

8.5" +45 will stick out past the fenders, regardless of what tire size you are planning to go with. If you're going with 8" width wheels, I suggest you get one with a offset of +48 or greater; higher the better in this case to eliminimate any possible chances for rubbing.
BTW - spacer are used to move the wheels outward towards the fender which decreases or lowers the effective offset.
