Rear wheel well rubberized undercoating question

I was recently rearended. It was a good shot, and required the replacement of the "rear body panel" whatever that is. Anyway, I got my car back and noticed that the wheel well was not completely covered with the rubberized undercoating that is present elsewhere under the car. Of concern to me is the area directly behind the tire. This area has no rubber coating and looks way too clean to not have been replaced. Anyway, it looks like a rock could easily be kicked up and chip the greenish colored paint/primer that is there, eventually leading to rust. I looked for another 2nd gen TL today to have a look inside their wheel well, but amazingly didnt see a parked one. Can someone take a look in one of their rear wheel wells and tell me if the metal portion that is behind the tire (ie. to the right of the tire if you are facing it) is rubber coated? A pic would be even better. Thanks in advance.
