2003 TL S. I've searched as much as I can at work with no luck really. I've come across 17, 18, 19mm for size for rear sway bar bushings.. Has anyone replaced just the bushings? What size were they? Trying to replace before the holiday road trips and not listen to the annoying knocking sound every bump in the road produces! Thanks!

 

Have you replaced the end links it is a common thing to cause a knocking/clunking noise. I replaced mine with moog end links and it solved the problem.

 

I brought it to my usual mechanic and he says it's just the bushings that are shot. I haven't crawled under there yet to check it out myself either. Do crap bushing cause about the same amount of clunk & knock?

 

Its possible the bushings are causing it but its more likely one of the lower control arm bushings are the cause.
