Quick Wheel Size Questions
Here are the Questions: If you had a 99TL with a 1.75" drop all around currently riding on stock rims/tires (16") would you go to 18" or 19" rims with the same drop?
The 18" rims that I am interested in are 18x7.5 i think with a offset of 45.
The 19" rims that I am interested in are 19x8 with the same offset.
Q 2: Will this offset cause rubbing?
I live in Boston where the roads are horrific so I am weary to purchase 19's.
Also anyone with a comparable drop who have 18's on their car, can you post a pic just a side shot so I can see what it kinda looks like.
Thank you. All assistance is greatly appreciated.

why would the drop matter with what size wheels you are getting? if sized properly, both should have the same/similar overall diameter as the stock setup. it's really your preference.
based on the two new setups, i get the 18s because a 45 offset should work better with a 7.5" wide rim than an 8" one; ie, less chance of rubbing. stick with 225s.
you normally run a 35 aspect ratio on 19s and a 40/45 on 18s so 5-10% of the width is next to nothing.
you can check my sig - i had an 02 tl-s with eibach prokits (2.1fr,1.75rr) and 18s with 225/40.
