I think the Apexi coilovers don't have a setup that allows you to adjust dampening. Did the kit come with any "adjustment" tools that will fit into the tophat? My friend has Apexi coilovers and his do not have any dampening control.

i thought the apexi ws coilovers have been discontinued? did you buy them new recently? where did you pick them up and for how much if you don't mind me asking PenancE.
i'm torn between tein basics and apexi ws coilovers. i do want a stiffer ride and i heard tein basics are "soft", so any input would be appreciated. thanks.

apexi is stiffer than Tein SS already, so i am not complaining
however my apexi is starting to get softer after 2 yrs of riding, maybe i should get a new set?
