There is a place in sayville. I am looking to get mine done soon. I am still undecided though. I might just prep them and have them painted black and cleared several times instead of powder coating them black.....hrmmmm.....decisions decisions decisions...

i was considering it on my katana spazio's bc my boy's family owns a powdercoating company. however, they have a plastic centercap which cannot be powder coated. from what i know plastic will melt in the powdercoating/electocoating process.

also he told me that elctrocoating is more durable and a better option but can only be done in black

Andrew,

DO NOT PAINT YOUR WHEELS. Unless you are planning to bead blast the wheel first, the paint will not bond to the aluminum wheel.

Get them powdercoated. You will be much happier.

There are a few places up north, like rockland and orange county. There are also a few places in Jersey and CT that do it.

What is the average price for the work? Would it be better to buy new rims than powdercoating it? I've seen on ebay some nice 17" black motegi rims for $400.

I have a friend that would do mine for 150, normally it would cost 700. Just can't decide on what color. I was thinking about gun metal but I need some pics, I have satin silver color. If someone would post pics that would be cool. I am in the seattle area
