OZ 17"

Anyone has put OZ Superleggera 17" on TL-P? Any rubbing issue? DO you think they look ok on a TL? Thanks.

I've seen photos of a guy with Superleggaras on a TL. He was lowered -- didn't mention any issues with rubbing (OEM rims). Don't have any pics of it (lost in reformat). Looks good. Be sure to do a brake upgrade (slotted/cross-drilled) because you can see a lot behind those small spokes!

Thanks. I just order a set of 17"x7" Superleggera with 225/45/17. I hope I don't need to roll fender or do any mod to the body of the car. Gee, you've got 235/40/18, do you have problem at all? ANy mod to your bodywork?

No bodywork done to my car. It's all about offset (+45). I have a Comptech drop (for the next little bit ... Tein Springs coming soon) and OEM Type-S shocks... I do occasionally rub if I have a lot of people/luggage in the back over big bumps. Done it maybe 10 times, tops.

With changing springs and Koni Yellows (at least, that's the plan ... still deciding), my summer setup shouldn't have any worries. If you're gonna go wide (225/40/18 or 235/40/18) -- make sure offset is at least +48, then you won't have to 'roll fenders'. Get a really aggressive drop (Eibach, H&R race springs, etc), then you'll most likely going to need to roll fenders.

BTW, nice choice in rims ... I wanted to get Superleggaras but I had a chance to pick up these Volks at a good price.

Yeah, I like the look and they are on sale $199 each, saving $80 per piece. I am not planning to drop or anything, this will be my only mod. I have +45 offset with my 17x7, sounds like it going to be ok giving yours is 18x7.5 or 18x8 and you don't have any issue.

Hi Derrick:

I am renewing this thread and I can't believe it's still here after 5 yrs. Thanks for your advise back then. It time for me to replace these 225/45/17 on my OZ. The current sidewall gives good performance, but the wheel well space is too large and the speedo is off too much comparing to OE TL-P size. Thinking about going to 215/50/17 like the OE type-s size. What do you think of the thicker sidewall? Do you think it will rub any suspension part? My OZ is 17x7 +45 offset. Thanks.
