Opinion on Wheel Choice
I know this has been done to death and I have almost made a decision but, here it is.
I have decided on MB Motoring Classic wheels, 17 x 7 with a +42mm offset. And either Yoko or Falken 215/50/17 tires. I have a 2000 TL that is not lowered and may never be lowered. Will I need to be concerned with rubbing. I could not find one post where someone rubbed with this size. I know the tires will probably stick out about a 1/2" or so, no biggie. I just want to be sure before I make the purchase. Thank.s

Most importantly, you could add stress to the wheel bearings since more weight is put on the inside of the wheel/tire area. You may notice a slight butterfly effect when looking at it from the rear with these wheels. Butterflying is where the outside part of the tire is making slightly less contact with the road than inside part.
Good luck

Um, just off the top of my head. Ronjon wheels are sponsored on this site and have a couple styles to choose from. Those wheels fit to EXACT specifications on our Acura cars. They have the correct bolt circle and offset that require no hub centric rings or anything. Click here for more info on RonJon wheels http://www.ronjonwheels.com/
Some others would be Racing Hart, Axis, Maido, Lowenhart, BBS, ADR has a few, there are some on tirerack.com, and a few others.
Most of the time, high offset wheels = more money from what I've seen. But from what I have learned over past 14 years about wheels, you 100% get what you pay for.
I personally have had great luck with ADR wheels. Many here will knock em and say they are on the cheap end, but they always treated me well. I know that Axis makes a wheel called Axis Mod Se7en I think. THose are really nice and have the proper offset for our cars and look damn good IMO.
Good luck!!!

I just got a set of O.Z. Superleggera 17X7's on my TL-S from TireRack and Falken ZIEX 512's. They look really cool on the car. The interactive site they have for matching the rims with cars didn't do the TL justice at all! Just my opinion, of course!

Can you post or email me some pics? I would like to see what they look like as far as the +45mm offset. Are you lowered at all?
