New Tires

Ive had a brand new set of rims waiting to get put on. i dont know anything about tires and i dont know what size i need, they're 18x7.5 with an offset of +45. what size of tires do i need and any brands you would recommend? (nothing outrageously expensive)

I got Yokohamas YK 580`s great summer and in wet conditions. They have a barely passing grade for winter snow.

215 or 225/45/18. These should be the closest to the OEM size without your odometer changing. Anything else and you risk the odo. being off.

If you retain the same overall dia of the tire the gap will be the same.

The stock TL-S tire has an over all Dia of roughly 25.5

A 225/45 is roughly 26" and a 225/40 is roughly 25.1. A 235/40 is the closest at 25.4

Hey AdumJens, what is the final desired look that ya want when finished ?

Check the "Photograph Gallery" for pics on modded TL's. Try to get an idea as to what ya like and then go for it. Our TL's look good when lowered along with custom rims. Alot depends on your budget and "DIY" mechanical skills.

But, first of all.....make sure that all of the mechanical PM is up to date and that the suspension is tight.

Hey AdumJens, did ya get a "40" profile width on the tires ?

Check the fender lip's edge clearance, as it may need modified a bit to accommodate the tire while maneuvering potholes, speed bumps and during high speed cornering on the twisty roads.
