Actually, I don't have them. I just like to keep checking tirerack.com for new tires in that size. That was tirerack's price.

These are listed as UHP summer tires. Direzzas are supposed to be Dunlops UHP line so they should have pretty good grip. The compound is probably soft in order to be sticky so they may not last too long although the treadwear rating isn't bad: 300.
There are a lot of factors that determine tread life but I've got close to 40K miles on my Firestone SZ50s and they still look new, plenty of tread.
