Need Help!

Hey guys I really need help on what to buy and how to do it! I was wondering what would be the best to buy if I wanted to lower my car enough to just get rid of the gap. I have a 2002 TL Type S and I'll put some pics just so you guys get a good look of it. If you need more pictures just let me know. I'd really appreciate if you guys can give me tips and links. Anything will help!

There are a few options here. How many miles do your shocks have on them? Some people put just lowering springs on their stock shocks to get the car a bit lower. This is an affordable method since springs are usually only a couple hundred dollars. If you are having the work done by a shop and are paying for labor, you would be better off with a set of coilovers. Most coilovers allow for height adjustment so you can actually dial in the height to anywhere you want. If you are just daily driving your car, the Street Basis would probably be a great match for you. We have them available for $531 not including shipping.

If your not a DIY'er and dont want to do this yourself, call around. Its not hard and most shops shouldnt charge that much. Also check out the regions section and ask there, someone from your area may be able to help you, or recommend for you where to go.

So I went to a local shop nearby and asked about lowering. The guy said that he recommends cutting them, and that they'll do it for around $200, I told him I'll think about it but I honestly do not want to ruin my ride with cut springs. I'd really like to get coilovers and just pay them to install it. Is the tein coilovers the best for a daily driven car if I just want to get rid of the wheel gap? I was thinking about getting h&r springs with koni yellow struts but it seems to be at around the same price as the coilovers everywhere I look.

STAY away from the shop that recommended cutting them. Do it right. Buy shocks/lowering springs or coilovers.

Definitely avoid the shop that offered to cut your springs... as they most likely cut other corners as well!

The Street Basis will provide a full damper/spring replacement for less than what most shock and spring replacements are going for right now. And they are a quality set with great ride comfort.
