lowered my car.........somewhat

This is more like a rant, I just turned 29 and I went to lower my car today. OH man, my body does not like me working on my car. I took foreveerrrrr. I used to finish the whole car in 3 hours or less but it took me 2.5 hours just to do the two front! Now I have to spend my friday evening after work to finish the rest. On a bright note, my car looks siiiiick, in the front at least.

It happens. Especially if the bolts are rusted and aligning the bolt and shock is annoying. When I did mine it took almost 2.5 hours to 3 no air tools and lift.

Now everytime I do it, I have a friend to help me get it started on one side.

Definately post pics after it is all done.

the back is the worst, you gotta take the seats out, take everything out, and then the bolt long bolt connecting the bottom of the strut. are you changing the struts too? be careful not to break the bolt, mine broke in the plate. I'm still riding with no rear driver side stabilizer for now lol. and the bolts were all rusty. And then had to jam the strut back into place, def need 2 people I think. good luck and have fun

I would ask for help, cause I have a lot of car buddies, but I like to say I work on my car 100%. Oh yea, I got the Eibach sportlines. Theres no wheel gap in the front on my Aspecs, 40 series tires. Low but sick as hell

Dumb question but can you just replace the springs or do you need the whole coilover kit / spring and strut

Are you doing the job yourself? I would do the spring and strut together. if you drop on stock struts, people say that will just kill your stock strut alot sooner. I would do it together just because its a pain in the ass to do the same job twice. (remove strut spring, replace lowering spring & stock strut, and then later, remove strut spring, replace stock strut with performance strut, and then all that shit again) waste of time. the tokico blues are nice. I just got my car aligned and added the camber kit for the rear, sits perfect. and fixed my rear driver side stabilizer. And I got Bridgestone Potenza's G019. They ride awesome, first day I got them on, it was raining, I was doing 95 in them, no problem. And the tires makes the ride a lot better. No road noise, only thing, I STILL HAVE STOCK RIMS!!! ::SIGH::

I would do everything in this order
get spring and struts, camber kit for the rear (adjustable arms)
get alignment after you install, and then maybe get nice tires, you get what you pay for. altogether I think I spent a grand, 500 tein stechs + tokico blues, 170 for ingalls rear camber kit, and 400 for 4 Potenza's g019. I got them for that price including install because my cousin works at firestone, get the special friend discount. 135 each tire retail not including install, mount balance, stems.
