Lasting tires.

How guys. I replace my tires about a year and two months ago. Now the tires is bald in the inner side. I know it's because I do not have a camber kit but my question is, how long do regular tires usually last? I am about to rotate them asap.

Oic. I'm guess mine isn't too bad where I need a camber kit. Imma rotate them and see if I can get another 10k miles off them.

If you know you have a camber issue, you'd better try to rotate tires every 3000 miles (or whenever you change your oil) ... it's not safe to ride on tires that are worn on one side (ie smaller contact patch).

Better yet, why not buy a camber kit if you want to be so low? Camber kit cheaper than 4 new tires.

Your right about that. I didn't know that I had camber issues until last week. I parked my car with my tire facing towards the left and saw the worn out tire.

i got Bridgestone Turanza LS-H. It's more than 55K now w/ probably another 10K to go. (H cuz i rarely go over 100mph) The OEM Michelin lasted me 40-45K and totally suck. Thinking about getting the Yoko Avid V4s....hmmm

if you are worried about tread wear find the one with the highest one. I remember i had the general exclaim UHPs on my 18s and i loved them. They were W or Z rated, 380 Tread wear, and AA for temp. i talked to my friend who works are discount tire and said they are made by continental in Germany. so they are not the US made ones. they are awsome. plus they are cheap as hell. good tread. ask Joe with the tan TL he has my 18s. its a great tire and last pretty long thats what im getting for my 19s. the Nitto 555s are great tires but just too expensive for vegas roads. its too hot and they wear pretty easy on these hot roads. i love them but just too expensive for the lasting. Look them up on tirerack and take it too discount tire they will match that price +shipping and get them for you at a better $$. thats how i do my tires.

You may not need a camber kit. Did you ever do a wheel alignment after lowering your car? After lowering the toes on the car are off.Although true there is negative camber, it does not effect the tire unless your slammed. Have the alignment guy set your toes to 0 degree. You will see the difference.

I rotated my tires every 6000K miles front to rear then opposite corners "X" pattern. All tires were on all corners and I got pretty good wear on my HR sports lowered TLs. I got 52K miles on my stock michelins. Plus I have chrome OEM wheels which I think adds some weight to the car. I had about another 5-10K miles left on them, but got some Yokohama YK520's and couldn't be happier. My car always measures within acceptable specs on the alignment machine so I'm not getting a camber kit.

100% get an alignment. Odds are if you didnt its toe and that can be corrected at the alignment place. A little Toe will wear tires faster than camber
