I would wait for the springs to settle, about 800-1000 miles (this is debatable - I've heard 2 weeks to a month) and then get it checked for alignment. Depending on how much of a drop, you may need a camber kit to get it to alignment specs. Usually if the drop is about an inch or less, you could possibly get away without one. Anything more than that, the kit is recommended.

how much does a alignment usually cost? Can I get away with just aligning the front. I had a lowered 99 accord, about same hight and the tire wear in the back was even.

Wait a week and get a 4-wheel alignment. If it's out of spec, then you need to get a camber kit.

My local shop recommends to get 4 wheels alignment after 500 miles of driving. I'll do mine next weekend.

wait 3-4 weeks for optimal result, if it's used springs then just one week

alignment costs around 60-80 bucks depends where you are going

Hawhyen is right on the money. I got Teins SS-P and lowered the front 2.1" and rear 1.7". I'd wait for 2-4 weeks for the springs and struts to settle before getting an alignment. My springs sagged about 1/4" after the install, after that it settled down. I put in a SPC camber kit for the rear and front was within Acura spec without a camber kit. It is possible to get away without an alignment if the drop is less than 1.5 inches but that is the max drop without using a camber kit. Dropping your car will increase the negative camber. Negative camber will make your tires look like this / \. A camber kit will straight out the wheels and make it close to perpendicular like this | | roughly. You will actually be able to see the negative camber on the rear wheels after a significant drop. Don't leave the car without a wheel alignment, otherwise the tires will wear out prematurely on the insides of the tire. Hope that straighten you out. (Pun intended)

BTW. get a four-wheel alignment because your vehicle is a front-wheel drive and it's also got an independant suspension.

So if I buy a camber kit, do I just bring it to the alignment shop, and they would install that for me?, or should I put that in myself?

Also, are the camber kits on ebay any good?

Well, if the other guy really paid 29 bucks at Sears for the same thing, then yeah, you got ripped.

But 4-wheel alignments usually cost about 50-60 bucks easy. I got mine done at Belle Tire for 49.99.

Definitely do the alignment - big diff after the drop, much better steering response and the suspension was more lively. The steering response is now better than when the car was new (factory stock setup).

After the drop before the alignment, handling was very sloppy b/c of camber problems in the rear and the toes was off for the frnts and rears.
