installing new suspension

Does anyone have instructions on how to install new springs/struts on 02 TL. How difficult is it? Someone told me I need a spring compressor to do it???
Any help is greatly appreciated. BW

if you've done it before, its pretty straight forward. If not get someone to help you.
If you're asking about the spring compressor then i would definitely recommend seeking help.

DIY Lowering Springs

It's not that hard. Just some bolts and muscle. The first 2 might take you 3 hours or so, but the next two will be much easier. Yes, you "need" a spring compressor. You can rent one at AutoZone with a ~$40 deposit. You get that back when you bring the spring compressor back. Don't point the springs/compressor/strut at your face, other people, or your car... When we did my Tein springs we didn't use a spring compressor but rather used the 2-tires+wrench+crossing fingers method. Exciting, but not recommended.

get 2 spring compressors if you plan on keeping the old top hats. 1 compressor to remove the hat while the other puts spring on the strut.
we did a friend's car with just one and i can tell you straight up we spent more time compressing springs than anything

You should never just use 1 compressor. Thats why they are sold in pairs. SO that you can compress the spring evenly

If you are not sure how to use a tool in a very dangerous job, simply drop the old suspension and take in buddies car to a shop-
who will glady and safely swap the springs and hats over for you-
about 10 bucks per would be rightous price for you not spending the rest of the day in the Emergency room

As Fsttyms says- the loaner tool uses 2 seperate compressing units, one for each side of the spring. A shop has a big version where its all one unit and run by an air wrench.
Any other method CAN result in severe injury

You and a friend can remove all the strut assemblies, then take it to a pro for the parts swap over, and you put them back in.
Call a few private honda/acura shops and ask them for a price on each way
Figure 3 hours labor approx
