How trustworthy is eBay?

I compared autocarparts.com and eBay for the Tokico Illumia whites and this eBay seller is selling for $340+$30 shipping for a set of 4, while autocarparts.com is selling for $440 ($220 front, $220 rear) + shipping. Is autocarparts.com expensive or is the eBay seller sketchy? He has like 98.9% feedback.
I would get koni's if they weren't so expensive >_>
