Help me in preventing cracking, weathering, and dry rot of tires
So I just forked over a good chunk of dough for a set of new tires since my tires bit the dust. Only being 3 years old, my tires were cracking and dry rotting--conditions not covered by warranty says the Sam's Club rep. Nevertheless, it was unsafe to drive with those tires.
Now, with my new tires, I want to make sure that this problem doesn't happen so quickly, or, if possible, at all. I live in Florida, so we surely get the massive amounts of sun and, subsequently, UV rays. I try to park my car in the shade as much as possible but, at times, it seems impossible to do so.
Does anyone have any products they would like to recommend or tactics to implement in order to slow down the weathering of tires? Should I just slather on tire gel/shine every few weeks? If so, which is best--not for the shine, but to prevent cracking?
Thanks

What your problem is?
next time you buy tires, be sure to check the date they were manufactured. I would think your tires were already old and not using them, added to that aging.
maintain the air pressure, treat them and above all, use them.

Not just the sun and UV rays, the ozone in the air will also slowly degrade the rubber tire compounds. Sorry, it's just the way of life.
