HELP!! left rear tire rubbing against bumper
i have 19inch rims wrapped in toyo proxies 225-35-19...the rims and offset are the right size because they fit perfectly on a friends type S, im dropped on tein S-tech springs, which is 1.6 in the back i believe
however the left rear tire is rubbing against the part of the bumper that connects to the fenders right near the back. i looked at it and it looks like i could easily trim off an inch because the bumper peice sticks in a little bit, which is where its rubbing.
the tire guy said that my shocks looked fine, but he said new ones could work. i dont wanna pay 300+ for new shocks so im looking at cheaper alternatives
what kind of tool would i need to use the trim off the bumper peice? how do you roll fenders? i have a meet coming up and i want to be able to drive the twisties

it's the plastic part of the bumper ... a dremel should do the job. i still have to do it on my car. rolling the fenders is important if your offset is too low ...

that upper part of the rear bumper can be cut off with a razorblade or a dremel, or tinsnips.
Just because it fit on your buddies car doesnt mean it wasnt rubbing and he didnt notice it.
changing the shocks wont solve teh problem

I just lowered my car last night and am having the same issue.
Easiest way to cut anything plastic or urethane is with a hot razor blade. Get the full size utility blade and heat it up with a propane torch and cut like butter with precision.
