Debatable. We'll start with everyone has this issue because they're lower than you. If you don't have these issues, you either
A. Don't drive much.
B. Drive in a nice city with super smooth roads.
C. Are so godlike with your driving skill that you avoid every little bump/hole/speedbump/bad road.

I'm pretty sure he's on Ksports, not F2...I almost didn't buy F2's because of this....I really dont think the type one is that good of a coilover but I didnt want to spend any more money. Hell. I couldn't even afford the type ones but I bought them anyway. Now I'm doing all kinds of horrible crap to pay them off!

Searching through other forums it seems most with F2 have this issue when they sit too low. Its all over the civic forums as well. I see people just as slammed if not lower riding on Tokicos with ebay sleeves, Ksports, etc and the issue isn't there. Kinda sucks, I wonder if the type 2 have this issue.

The Type 1's are too soft to ride compeltely slammed, ksports can do so since theyre qutie a bit stiffer.

If you want to ride slammed with no issues, don't buy ff type 1... The type 2 helps a good bit since you can stiffen up the ride with the adjustable dampening.

Shortening the preload spring travel also helped for me...I could even go 1cm lower than before and it still wouldn't hit. Thanks xtremex626!

san diego roads are nowhere near smooth as a baby's behind, you must have been around the nicer area of town.

Are you sure it's the control arm? scroll up to my pic, I don't hit at all. Not even with an extra 400lbs up front Driver/passenger.

You don't have much problems because your rear is dumped compared to your front. Put the front at 23.5 and you'll have problems. Haha I was at 23.5 before and hit my control arms all the time on big dips and uneven parts of the road. I raised it to 24" to save my oem front lip. Lol

And I'm seriously thinking about taking off my lip kit and going lower now that I'm seeing a lot of cars slammed with stock body. It makes it look so cleAn! Lol

But he said his were raised all the way up! How does the car handle at your height? Only reason I ask is because the TL looks lower in the rear at stock height and after lowering spring installs. Even though it looks lower in the rear it's an even drop all the way around and with my teins the drop was .25 lower in the front but still looked higher than the rear, and for the car to be dropped another .5 in the front would make the front end an actual full inch or so lower then it was meant to be in the front. I just don't want to screw the handling dynamics of the car, and if I lower the front more I'll have to remove the fender liner. I'm afraid I'll soak my CAI in the rain. are you running a stock intake or CAI? I'm considering selling my rear and sides as well instead of getting them painted but the front lip is staying until I destroy it..lol

I rubbed them from time to time, but what I did was cut the fender line in the middle portion of the fender and left the portions connected to bumper and the door intact... That way I could bent the fender tabs up a little bit for more clearance. I know it sounds confusing, but i'll take a pic for you to clear things up

And meh, the car handles ok. I honestly don't like the way the FF type1 ride... The rear is bouncy.. I was thinking about the new coils that XLR8 is offering or some tein basics or SS

Okay thanks, I know what you mean, I was thinking of doing the same but I wasn't sure if that was possible without the leftover portions falling out. I've had liners go flying off on the freeway before! You're right, the rears are bouncy. I'm not familiar with how they handle without my larger sway on though.

are these coils not good in the winter and have issues like this? clunking goes away when its warmer.
