Hawaii Pot holes, Cracked Rim, Bad Yokohama Parada

Hey everyone,

Just moved to Hawaii for school and already so much problem already with the car.
Problems:
1. My ABS and TCS light came on. Don't know why but it came on.
2. Cracked one of my 19" from hitting a huge a$$ pot hole.
3. Ruined my Yokahama Parada from the craked rim (replacement=$205).
4. Recently I found like a slash on my fron left tire. It's not like someone slashed it. The opening is most likely from the line which is just a bad tire from manufacturer.

So much $$$$ already on this car since I moved here two months ago. Anyway, I am just going straight to the point. Two questions.... For those who lives in Hawaii, I heard that you could claim the craked rim from the pot hole (as long as you take a pic of the pot hole) and send it the state for reimbursment. My question is to you TLers in Hawaii is that where and what web site do I need so that I could have the state reimburse me for the new tire, rim?

The second question is for everyone out there who had this happened to them. Since it was an error from the manufacturer regarding the tire, I wonder if I could send it in and get a new tire? I think it would only be fair. Plus it might still be under warranty. If anyone had done this before or dealt with Yokahama, please give me some info on where I can get that done so I could get a new replacement. Thanks for all the help!

P.S. How do you fix the ABS and TCS light besides taking it into Acura dealership?

It all depends on which jurisdiction that roadway belongs to...i.e. city or state. I've heard of some guys filing a claims for reimbursement. Your chances are 50/50, and if you do get reimbursed it won't be for the full amount. You also need to show proof of purchase via original receipt. My advise would be to don't waste your time. I think Lex Brodies Tire Co is a Yokohama dealer. Take your defective tire to them and see what they can do for you.

also if you filed a claim, they will ask for your recon paper work, no recon, no money
