G2 Caliper paint update 1 year later..
Don't know if this is right section to post so mods please move if necessary.
Just wanted to give some feedback on the G2 Epoxy caliper paint I put on the TL a little over a year ago...
Little over a year ago I put some SERIOUS time into correctly painting my calipers all black with a paint called "G2". I sanded down the calipers and put 3 coats on each one. They came out perfect but only 1 year later and about 20K miles they have all started flaking off somewhat badly.. Guess it's time for another coat. I'll post some pics here in a bit.
So to those considering the G2 beware that it starts to flake off ALOT faster than they claim..

G2 caliper paint? Really? I just bought some for my wife's TSX ...
I mean ... most important is prep work before painting (ie sanding down, lots of degreaser, etc)
Does it tell you to apply 3 coats? I think the info from the website / youtube video, 1 application is more than enough if you brush it on.
I bought a different caliper paint for my TL-S (can't remember the name, but it was German stuff ... 'autobahn tested' ... LOL ... and it turned out well, lasted quite a while and there was enough for me to apply on 3 different cars!)

I used a wire brush and hoping for the best. Did that with my TL (but used Folia-tec kit on that car) and got 3-4 years worth and it still looked pretty good.
Will tell you how well it goes on my wife's TSX down the road ...
