Found some cheap wheels
Found some cheap wheels
The specs of the wheels are:
Size: 19 x 8.0
Offset: +35
I've never purchased wheels before. I have a 2003 TL-S, dropped with CompTech. Do you think I will encounter rubbing issues? If so, could I solve it by cutting some tabs or whatever you guys call it?
My friend told me this guy is offering to sell him 4 wheels only for $400 straight up. They appear to be slightly used even though according to the seller has never been touched other than to take it out of the box to take pictures. They are Axis TC EVO and they look like this:
http://www.wheelsnext.com/default.cfm?action=dspWheel&MODEL=TC%20EVO%20%28W% 2F%20BLUE%20RING%29&color=SILVER%20(GLOSS%20FINISH )
The seller claims the blue ring on the outter wall is a sticker and can be removed, which is a good thing for me because it's ugly as hell. But then I find it funny that the site also sells the exact same wheels with all silver finish, which is the look I am going for.
What do you guys think of the wheels, minus the blue ring?

With a 8 inch wide rim and a +35 offset, those things will be sticking out waaaaay past your fenders. You'll look like a jeep. So to answer your question, rubbing?
Dropped with those wheels on? Forget it! Don't buy them, they'll just give you headaches. FYI you'll need to do more then just cut the bumper tabs to get those to fit, it would require some bodywork to get those to fit properly with your drop.

Use this thread as a guideline : https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/01-cl-s-stuff-sale-121066/
In retrospect, looking at those specs again. I don't even think rolling the fenders out would get those to fit, the offset is just way too low and the rim is too wide.
