Diy hand tools

Okay so my question is has anyone done spring swap with just hand tools and no air? When I did my suspension the first time I had a buddy who had air at his house and it made things a little easier, this time though he won't be available, the only thing I'm worried about is the spring compressor with no air, is it pretty easy?

i bought an electric corded impact gun, but you might be able to get away with a battery powered one. it will make compressing the springs so much easier.
